Hi everyone! It is a beautiful evening here in southern Wisconsin. I said goodbye to my seniors today and they will be graduation on Sunday. I made them a special little treat using Hershey bars, mini m&ms, mini reeses cups, and cut strips of sour candy.
Last weekend, my mom and I had a late card making night. We made truth cards for Brave Girls Club and full circle exchange. You can read about them here. These will be given to women to keep up their spirits, to help them through rough times, to give them hope. We made several that night and I used Unity's color scheme for this month's challenge for some of them. Clicking on the link will take you to a description of the project and you can download the kit which gives you wonderful art and sayings to use.
Here are the ones I made that night:
Here are the ones using the color scheme and Unity stamps:
I'm linking these up to Unity's Friends with Flair, too. Go to the Unity Blog to see great creations or participate. I will leave you with a few more truth cards I made. Look at this post to see more details. Have a GREAT weekend!!

Truth Cards - The Play Date Cafe Challenge #183
I recently read about a great project through Brave Girls Club and full circle exchange ~ making Truth Cards. After reading about it, I decided to participate in this exchange. My mom and I spent a late night making some of these and now I am hooked. To make something that can give someone else hope, to help someone else keep going ~ now powerful. You can make some, too. Click on Truth Cards and you can read all about them and download a kit which gives you great colorful art and pages of sayings. Here are some I made using this week's PDCC colors. The inspiration picture was:

Have a GREAT week!

FWF - Happy Anniversary!
Hi everyone! Hope you are all ready for a great weekend. My husband left at 2 a.m. to ride 3 hours, to catch a high speed ferry, ride for 2 1/2 hours, to drive 2 more hours. He loves his motorcycle (oh yeah - I didn't mention all of this was on his Triumph Scrambler) and decided to ride it to his band competition in Michigan this weekend. The weather was not particularly great for riding and he was pretty cold most of the day. So, it is me and the kids for the weekend. We are going to take in the county Breakfast on the Farm and relax this weekend. I really don't have any other plans. Maybe I will get some crafting in.
I made the card I am showing you for my husband. We celebrated 13 years of marriage on Monday. Does anyone know what these numbers mean?
If so, you were (or are) as hooked on this show as we are. My husband and I have found a few shows that we get really hooked on. We often spend our anniversary evening watching the season finale of one of these shows. It started with 24, then Prison Break, then the Walking Dead (oh how I miss this show and can't wait for it to start again). We are now hooked on a show that ended several years ago, but we are watching on Netflix. LOST. It is a rare evening when we do not watch an episode (or 2 or sometimes even 3) after the kids go to bed. We LOVE it!!!! We NEVER know what to expect. The characters are great and there are so many twists and turns. This card has the numbers from LOST on the front. On the inside it says "I'd be LOST without you!" A very simple card with a lot of meaning. I used a few Unity kits for the numbers including Learning [year by year}, Playing Card Alphabet (retired, I think), and It's Your Day (I couldn't find this one either).
Have a great weekend!!

I love this Panda!
Hi there! A quick post for Friday's Unity Friends with Flair. Love participating each week! Love Unity!! HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY!!!! Check here for a Super Sale!! This panda is from the May Kit of the Month and it is sooooooo cute! I used some of my hand streaked paper again as the background strips and a little paper piecing on the flower and heart. Hope you all have a great weekend! We are celebrating my hubby's 40th tomorrow with a day/night on the town. Staying in a fancy hotel and eating sushi....YUM!!!! He only turns 40 once, right?
Have a great weekend!
