You Rocked It!

What a gorgeous day it was today here in southern Wisconsin. It's about time. I think that Spring may have finally arrived. Yippee!! My favorite time of year! We spent time outside - my hubby did some yardwork, my son played with the neighborhood kids, and I made a lunch to eat on the deck. What a great Sunday. I also spent some time inside cleaning and making a couple of cards!

Here is my card for Inspirational Card Sketches #61. The sketch I used follows.

It is also for the Simon Says Challenge to make a card for a child!

I used Kraft paper and Bazzill cardstock, stamps from two Unity kits of the month, and some patterned paper that I believe is Cosmo Cricket. I also used some gold stickles and gold rick rack. This card has so many possible uses from graduation, to passing a test, to getting a drivers license or performing well at a concert or in a play.

Have a great week everyone!

Sweet Little Baby

I have been making so many baby cards lately. I hope some other people I know start having babies soon, because I won't be giving these cards to myself :) Baby on the brain (11 more days), but what a perfect thing that several card challenges are for baby cards lately. I'm having so much fun.

This card was made for the Get Sketchy challenge #33 using the sketch that follows and for Caardvarks challenge of making a baby card.

I used Bazzill cardstock, DCWV patterned paper from a baby boy matstack I have, and the Bitty Baby Blessings stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I also used some pastel embossing powder I bought recently. Love that stuff!! Such soft, pretty colors!

FWF and Card Patterns #60

(OOPS - I must really want it to be 2 weeks from now. I titled my post with Card Patterns #60 and it's only #58. Sorry!!!)

Happy Friday!! Here are a couple of cards I made last week during Spring Break. One of them I made for the Spring/Easter ippity challenge and the other was made using Card Patterns Sketch #58. I love the Moon Beam and Heart Strings kit and used that one as well as Unity's Little Me for the peanut and pea images :) I really enjoyed making this card.

The Spring/Easter Card used another ippity stamp from the Just Wanted to Say kit. I also used some new pastel embossing powder I got at Archiver's.

Hippity Hop Monday and ICSketches #60

It's Monday and Spring Break is over. I only have 14 more teaching days (18 more days) left though until my little one arrives. SO much to do, but so much excitement too! Must have baby on the brain as 2 of the 3 cards I made this week were baby cards. I love the Moon Beam and Heartstrings ippity kit by Unity! It must be my favorite. Again, I wonder if that is because of where I am in my life? I used the ICSketches sketch #60 to help me with my design on this card!

It was fun to actually do some crafting this week! Happy Monday and Have a GREAT week! See more cards in the Hippity Hop here.

Happy Friday!!! Unity FWF

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great week and that you have great things planned for the weekend. I'm going to try to get a cityscape outline on my son's new bedroom wall so we can get it painted and he can move in. Then on to the nursery.

I made this very special card for my husband this week. He stopped smoking exactly one year ago yesterday and we are SO PROUD of him!!! I used kraft paper, Basic GreyLime Rickey paper (of course - What am I going to do when I run out of this???), Unity stamps (Alpha I Playing Cards Alpha and the sock monkey from KOM-OCT09 {...wherever you go}) , and Stickles. You can get these stamps at Unity Stamps

My husband loves monkeys and especially sock monkeys, so I had to use it. See other great creations at the Unity blog.
