Cuttlebug Challenge - Be Inspired # 46 Back to School

Wow! What a challenge! I absolutely loved this. I have not done anything like these items before and had so many ideas in my brainstorm that I have things left to alter - door signs, clipboards, jars - oh my. I used some really cute apple paper that I got this weekend. It was used to alter a wooden "gift bag", to make a post it holder, to decorate a pen, and to cover a little notebook. I found some great teacher sayings as well and used acrylic stamps, digital stamps, and rubber stamps. I plan on making 3 more sets of these and giving them to my fellow department members as a Welcome Back to School - Have a Great Year gift. I alsoplan to fill the wooden "gift bag" with some candyand some Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer It's a good thing that they don't know about my blog. Hopefully I will have them all ready to give out on Friday or better yet - as a surprise for after Labor Day Weekend. Hope you enjoy my projects as much as I did making them! These were made for the Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge #46

SheetLoad of Cards August Challenge

This is my card for the August SheetLoad of Cards challenge. Don't you just love the name of that blog? Funny!!! I made a Thinking of You card using Basic Grey paper from the Two Scoops line. This was a fun challenge to do and maybe next month I will actually make a sheetload of cards!

Hero Arts Challenge - Color it

Card I made for the Hero Arts Blog. The theme was color it. I used Hero Arts stamps, Copics, Martha Stewart markers, an Charcoal Chalk Ink. I love the colors! Have a great day!

Our Creative Corner (OCC) Sketch Challenge

I made this card for the OCC weekly challenge based on this sketch:

I had lots of fun making this card with the Lime Rickey paper, ribbon, new stamp from Unity Stamp Company, and green (my favorite color). This is a little outside my box, and I love the change!! Have a great day!

A new challenge for me

This card was made for the Stamptacular Sunday challenge. The challenge was to make a 3D card. I love the colors and stamps I used and the pop of 3D gives it a little extra touch. Hope you like it!

She and I have a special relationship as she has been teaching my son for two years and I have also been teaching her son Spanish at the high school for two years. Thanks Jane!! I use the sketch this week from 2 Sketches 4 You. I am also entering it into the Basic Grey challenge with the color scheme pink, brown, and yellow. I also used Basic Grey Two Scoops sticker flowers on the ribbon and on the inside of the card. Lastly, I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge - Back to school.

A new card CPS and Caardvarks

Here is my card based on the sketch for Card Positioning Systems (#130) and Caardvarks color challenge black, hot pink, white. I had a lot of fun making this simple card and using this sketch and colors. I hope to be adding a few more cards tonight!!

Some other cards I have made

While I was looking for cards to post for Your Next Stamp's Design team call, I had a hard time choosing. Here are some of the cards I didn't choose.

I hope to be back tomorrow with some more new projects to show you and a few more challenge entries. This week has been long, yet exciting. Got some much awaited, but totally shocking family news, started back to school, stopped drinking caffeine. Wow! TGIF tomorrow! Off to bed am I!

'Your Next Stamp 1st Design Team Call'

Wow, I am excited about this. I have been thinking about this post for a couple of weeks. Your Next Stamp is a company just opened by two sisters. You should see their cute stamps! I love them and hope I get a chance to design with them. They also have dies, markers, paper etc. available. Here are a couple of cards that show my coloring.

I used colored pencils and markers on the street scene with some Stickles added to the sky and fluff added to the snow.

I used chalk on the flip flops, frame, sky, and ocean.

There are many mediums I like to use to color my stamped work including chalk on the paper, chalk on embossing ink, colored pencils, and markers. Sometimes I even use watercolors. I enjoy using the flat side of cardstock, textured side of cardstock, and other kinds of paper (such as photo paper) to get different looks from my stamped and colored deisgns as well. I also like to jazz my work up with Shimmerz, fluff, and Stickles. You can see some of my other work throughout my blog. You can all check out Your Next Stamp's blog here. Thanks for the chance at this opportunity. My fingers are crossed and I'm hoping :) Have a great night everyone!

Card Positioning Systems challenge #129

Basic Grey Challenge 1

I did this card for the Basic Grey challenge, but missed the deadline I think. Anyway still wanted to share with you. I love how the card turned out. And I love this Lime Rickey paper!

My entry for Unscripted Sketches 19

Here is the Unscripted Sketch that was my guide.

And this is what I did with it. I have been wanting to use this stamp for several weeks and rarely have any guy cards around to use. So, now I have one.
