Oh my it's been a long time! FWF Friday

I cannot believe I have not blogged here since mid October! Wow things have been crazy! And the last time I blogged was for Unity's Friend with Flair. It's December 3rd and there are only 22 days until Christmas. I don't have cards done, no presents are purchased, I don't even have lists written. I better get a movin!!! How does time fly so fast sometimes and others - it seems so slow. Ever notice that as you get older, time flies faster? Hope everyone has been well! Here is my card for today's Friends with Flair. I have been wanting to use this sock monkey. He's adorable!!!

Check out Angela's Unity Blog to see the other Friends with Flair links. Have a great day and a great weekend!!

365 Cards, MMSC 21, and ABC

I made this card today for my brother in law's 40th birthday on Monday. I used the sketch from Midnight Madness

and inspiration from 365 cards day #216 Ad Inspired for color choices.

I also used my new favorite paper Core'dinations Black Magic, Cuttlebug folders and sandpaper, Versamark and ColorBox inks, and Will 'n Way and Unity stamps.

This card also has embossing....E is for Embossing at ABC Challenges. I forgot that when I posted last night.

2Sketches4You, 365cards, and The Cuttlebug Spot

Another 2Sketches4You (#36) card using this sketch by Kazan Clark:

It also covers "we are falling" for The Cuttlebug Spot challenge #50 and 365 cards day 217 Stampin' Saturday - make the background pattern the same color as your cardstock. I used VersaMark ink and a leaf/acorn pattern stamp.

I also used my Autumn Cuttlebug folder and a stitched pumpkin from Unity's September 2009 Kit of the Month.

Here is my entry for 2Sketches4You WCMD Challenge. I have had a blast today. Made a few cards, gonna make a few more. I have been blog hopping a storm. What great things to see out there in Blogworld!! My card was based on this sketch:

ABC Design Team

ABC Challenges is looking for new Design Team members as two of their current members must step down due to family obligations.
This is my entry for the ABC Design Team.

The directions were to 1. post about the openings on your site and 2. Choose your 3 favourite cards and add them to the post. Please show in these cards what you determine your style to be.

Wow, this was hard to do. I guess I consider my design style to be fairly simple, but I like to use a lot of different things when I create cards from buttons to brads to ripping to chalk to images and patterned paper. I love making cards and have a lot of fun doing challenges. Good luck to all who enter the design team search and good luck to those of you choosing. I am sure you will be swamped with entries.

Two more cards tonight

I made 4 cards this afternoon and tonight. Two have their own posts below and these two are uploaded to galleries. The first one was made for Hero Arts and the task was to creat a photo card. I found this polar bear and had to use him. He looks like he is thinking of someone :)

The second card was made for the Unity Stamp challenge to create a card with something shiny or glittery, 2 buttons and 1 patterned paper.

Kaboodles Doodles #14

Here is my card for Kaboodles Doodles. There was a recipe this week and it included
1 solid cardstock
2 patterned papers
3 embelishments
use a digital image

I decided to do another Halloween card as I have some cute digital images from Louby Loo.

The Pink Elephant Challenge #33

I made this card for The Pink Elephant Challenge using this sketch:
The digital image is from Louby Loo. I used my Cuttlebug paisley embossing folder with some ink to creat the background panels.

Birthday Candy from Sharon

Sharon's celebrating her 50th birthday in 2 weeks and has this great candy to share. Go here to check it out! Here is some of what it includes: Promarkers, Spellbinders, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Papers, Embellishments, and Ribbons. Closes midnight (UK time) October 9th. Sketchfest Saturday!

Wow! 7 days and I did all 7 cards for the Sketchfest at Caardvarks. Some in the wee morning hours, some in the evening, some in the late morning. It was fun! I decided to do a Halloween card today, as I don't have many of these. I love the colors in this Karen Foster paper - prple, black, orange, yellow. I love purple and black together! I wonder how many people got all 7 cards done. I've seen some great stuff! Good luck to all who want the grand prize! Sketch again was designed by Heidi Van Laar.

Sketchfest Friday

Here is my entry for today's sketch at Caardvarks. Again the sketch is by the talented Heidi!

I actually only used 1 stamp (cut into 4), one ribbon, 2 pieces of cardstock, stickles, markers, and ink on this card. I love the block stamps that can be divided or left together as one. Can't wait to see tomorrow's sketch!
