Email Jimmi to let her kow you have won the 25 random stamps!! Congrats!!

Hello everyone. Today my baby is 8 weeks old ~ but she won't be 2 months old for another 5 days. Weird how that works, isn't it? We are taking her in for her vaccinations today. I hope I don't cry!!! Time has definitely flown by since the end of April. I haven't had a lot of time to craft, but try to do some things each week. I have a few things to share with you today.

First, I made a Father's Day card for my brother. He has a 2 year old daughter and she is growing so fast, learning so much, saying new words every day. I wanted to remind him that all these little things are actually big things. I used the birds from the kit Savor the Journey (January '10) and the sentiment from {go ahead wish}(September '09).

Second, I made a simple card for a friend that just says hi with a cute little caterpillar crawling along. I did some make and take cards the other day at our LSS and was reminded of this technique to punch out a shape and put a message behind it. I love this effect. The caterpillar and the sentiment are from the kit Little Buggers.

My third project is a sticky note holder for my desk. I plan to make a few more of these and give one to each of the teachers in my department at school as a welcome back to school gift in the fall. I figure I have several months to get 5 more made. There are two inserts which can be used and one is stored behind the other in the 4 X 6 plactic frame. I used Jillibean Soup papers (White Bean - pepper to taste and Sliced Bacon ~ what interesting names!). The sentiment "enjoy your day" on the sticky notes came from the May '09 kit another sweet day. The other sentiments are from the ippity set Life's Little Moments and {...wherever you go} (October '09). The butterfly was taken from a stamp from Together We Bloom (April '10).

If you'd like to see another example of a sticky note holder, please see my previous post.

That's all for my projects. Have a great Friday, a great weekend, and visit the other great crafters. You can find them all here at the Unity blog. I am off to Wisconsin Dells for the night and tomorrow. It is a family tradition. When we were kids we would spend a week there with my parents. This weekend all of us kids will be there with our kids and my parents, but none of us are able to spend the whole week anymore. Leave a comment please and I will post a winner here and at SCS on Saturday when I get back because........ I have the blinkie :)

A project to share - a thank you gift to my longterm substitute

Here are some pictures of a desk set I made for my longterm subtitute. She taught my students for the last 6 weeks of the school year so I could spend time with my new baby. Spanish longterm subs are not easy to find around here - so I really appreciate all she did. I made a post it note holder with a reversible message/design as well as two pens to match. I also attached a small thank you note which matched. The sentiments are from Papertrey ink. The paper is DeLovely by Cosmo Cricket and Grade School Glitter Apples by DCWV. Have a lovely Thursday!

Unity FWF ~ 6/4/10

June already? Wow! Hard to believe! Today is my son's last day of Kindergarten and I will be going to help with their end of the year picnic. Should be fun. I have lots of pictures to show the projects I made this week for two of my graduates. I took a class for these wallet picture albums at my LSS. They are so cute and the size of a checkbook. I used the DeLovely paper by Cosmo Cricket and a variety of Unity stamps with inspirational sayings. I can't wait to make more of these.
