I'm late! I'm late! For a very important FWF!

Finally, here is my post for Unity's FWF! If you are here, you probably didn't even know it was late, but it was. I have a few things to share today. My baby is 5 weeks old today - wow how time flies. Last time I shared a page I made about her. I made that page into a 2 page layout including her great big brother. I added one little embellishment of ribbon and brad to her page and tied the two in together. I used the Playing card alphabet, "Cute" stamp from Garden Variety, heart stamp and Capture the moments.... from Life's Little Moments(ippity). I love how the layout turned out and will be entering it into my LSS's monthly layout contest. Wish me luck!

My second project (in progress) consists of many thank you cards I have to get out for all of the baby gifts we have received in the past few weeks. I love the CAS style I used with a simple thanks and an image that represents baby or life with baby. Hope you like them.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend.I am off to some graduation parties, a soccer game, and Breakfast on the Farm this weekend. Hopefully I will get my graduation wallet books done to share with you next week! Until next time, I hope you have wonderful things happen in your lives and that you enjoy all the special people in your lives!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge and Blog Hop

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp this week is a birthday or celebration card. The card I made uses Unity stamps and can be used for a birthday (that is what I would use it for) or other celebration such as wedding, Mother's Day, etc. I use a sketch from Paper Crafts Connection. It is a Go to Sketch challenge and was on their homepage. Have a great Mother's Day and a great week!

Cosmo Cricket's Sketch and Unity FWF!!

I love the sketch that Cosmo Cricket had on their blog for a challenge to win some new great paper DeLovely. It is bright, it is exciting, it is lovely. I can't wait to have it! I will have to order some when I order some Material Girl and Garden Variety. I decided to make my first page about Amelia. She will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. Late at night is the only time I have to get some scrapbooking/cardmaking done as I am napping with her or feeding her or just watching her most of the day. She is such a great baby. On this page I used a variety of papers including Cosmo Cricket's Jolly By Golly Sweater Weather.

I wasn't sure how long it would be before I could participate again in Unity's FWF. Only 2 weeks, not bad - actually only one week off. I love Unity stamps and love creating with them. On this page I used Playing Cards Alphabet, Moonbeam and Heartstrings (ippity) and Our Life, Our Stories.

Just received some of my new sets including the Cosmo Cricket sets, Heart Times, and Merry, Merry, Merry. Can't wait to use them all. I did manage to do Maren's challenge too and here is the card I made. I used the flower pot stamp from Garden Variety and I used the sentiment from It's Your Day.

Another challenge I did this week was the Love at First Sight challenge. I used the May 09 Kit of the Month to make the card Home is Where Your Heart Is.

To see some great work by some great people check out this link to Unity's blog. I love perusing the pages and getting great ideas. Find the blinkie and leave a comment to win 25 stamps. Have a great weekend!

My baby's birthday! FWF

When you all read this I will be in the hospital more than likely getting to know my new daughter (or son). I can't believe how fast this day came. I have a few cards I made in the past week for the sketch challenges at 2 Sketches 4 You. They are pretty simple, but I loved the layout and love the papers and stamps I used. I hope you are having a great Friday! I am looking forward to lots of family time in the next few weeks and months and hopefully I will have some time to craft too. If not, I 'll be lurking and watching what all of you do. Go to the Unity blog to see more wonderful creations! Take care and have a great weekend!

2sketches4you Card #3

Here is my third, and final, card for Kazan's sketch #50 at 2sketches4you

I love the contrast between the bright green Bazzill cardstock and the black. I love bright green, it makes me happy :) The stamp again is from Unity.

I spent my day with some great friends who I haven't seen in a long time and usually scrap with once a month. I figured this might be my last chance to scrap with them for awhile. I have been doing most of my scrapbooking and cardmaking at home. Most of my supplies are homeless and in boxes right now as well due to the move in bedrooms and my scrapbook room becoming my son's bedroom. Hopefully I will get the basement scraproom ready to go in the next few months while I am home. Am I crazy to think I might have a little time to do that? Maybe :) I'm off to order a carseat for our new little one. I hope she likes bright colors as much as I do :) I hope that everyone is having a great night and has a great Sunday!

Sketch take 2 ~ 2sketches4you #50

Here is my second take on the sketch. I have really been using a lot of red lately, which is not like me. I love this image from Unity and the saying that goes with it. I used gold and red rick rack and braided it, red, black and white cardstock and gold stickles. A simple card for the most part, but I like how it turned out. I also like the longer card. Most of mine are usually standard size with a few larger square ones thrown in here and there.
